As I mentioned yesterday, I’m interested in finding “tiny homes” or “small homes” in Indianapolis.
Today, I researched several sites to see what was being offered to the buying public searching for tiny homes, studios, sheds. There are several companies producing prefabricated small structures with primarily modernist exterior finishes and minimalist interior finishes. They are located on the Pacific coast and Texas. The basic price range for an open space with electric only seems to be in the $7k-$10k range including a basic foundation. It would seem to me that a locally designed and site built small structure should be able to beat that price point. I must admit that I have not done any material take offs or labor estimates to back up that observation. I posted an inquiry today looking for any small structures that have been built in central Indiana. I am really interested in learning how others have approached these projects.
More as it develops.
